Why this Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy acts as a privacy notice to comply with the transparency obligations under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR) and under the UAE Federal Decree (45) of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) of the United Arab Emirates law.

This notice is layered. So, if you wish, you can easily select the reason we process your personal information and see what we do with it.

Data controller and representative.

The owner of R1SE platform acts as Data Controller, collecting and processing all user’s personal data related to the registration process and all activities carried out within the platform itself by registered users. Since the Data Controller is not established in the EU, it designated a representative pursuant to the article 27 GDPR.

Who are the data subjects?

Data subjects are all natural persons whose information are involved in data processing activities: registered users of the platform, even with a Steam® account.

Minors

Minors can’t register an account into the R1SE platform, so the Data Controller doesn’t process any personal data related to them.

Data processing activities

Categories of personal data

The Data Controller collects and processes the following categories of users’ personal data:

  • name, surname, e-mail address, UserID;
  • Steam account;
  • KYC ID verification with confirmation of date of birth;
  • payment details.

Obligation to provide the personal data

You must provide your personal data to register an account and use the platform’s services. This provision is a mandatory contractual requirement and in the event of failure, incomplete or incorrect provision, it will not be possible to register an account and/or use the services.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We process your personal data until you are registered into the R1SE platform and you require our services.

Deactivated/Inactive accounts

All data related to registered accounts are deleted after a period of 12 months following deactivation or 24 months following user inactivity. Subsequently, keep your personal data necessary to fulfill our legal obligations (mainly: transactions and payments).

Third parties may be involved in the activity of technical assistance, development, as well as for consultancy services within the scope of operation defined by the contracts stipulated by the Data Controller.

Do you transfer personal data outside the EU?

Yes, we will transfer your personal data with appropriate safeguards of the standard data protection clauses adopted by the Commission in accordance with the examination procedure as per article 46(4) c) GDPR in the United Arab Emirates and Principality of Monaco.

Data subjects rights

Under data protection law, you have rights we need to make you aware of. The rights available to you depend on our reason for processing your information. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. We have one month to respond to you.

 

Right of access. You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. This right always applies. There are some exemptions, which means you may not always receive all the information we process.

Right to rectification. You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. This right always applies.

Right to erasure. You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances under article 17 GDPR.

Right to restriction of processing. You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances under article 18 GDPR.

Right to object to processing. You have the right to object to processing if we are able to process your information because the process is in our legitimate interests.

Right to data portability. This only applies to information you have given us. You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us from one organization to another, or give it to you. The right only applies if we are processing information based on your consent or under, or in talks about entering into a contract and the processing is automated.

Consent withdrawal. You can withdraw the consent given at any moment.

We will develop technical features of the R1SE platform to ensure your rights enforcement.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
